Soundpost Singing Weekend 2020 Cancelled - New online event announced!
Soundpost SING2020 – ONLINE!!
It is with real sadness that we have finally accepted the fact that we need to postpone the Soundpost SING2020 weekend and Saturday Concert scheduled for the 9th, 10th and 11th October. The situation with the Coronavirus continues to be too unpredictable and we do not want to risk anybody’s health by pushing ahead. However, the good news is that we will be running the event next year instead on the same weekend, 8th, 9th and 10th October. If you have already purchased a ticket for this year’s event we can carry that payment forward to next year – SING2021. If you would rather have a refund for your ticket please e-mail us at helen@soundpost.org.uk. We will be contacting all ticket holders in due course to confirm the process for any refunds.
But, there is VERY EXCITING NEWS. We are running an online SING2020 on Saturday 10th so that nobody will miss out on the loveliness of a Soundpost Weekend. We will have artists talking about their relationship with singing, how they create harmonies and how they arrange their songs for performance and we will have a specialist tutor taking us all through our singing paces. There will be ‘coffee breaks’ after each workshop, where we can come together, like we do in Dungworth Village Hall, to talk through what we have learned and experienced and there will be a Q&A session with all the tutors at the end of the day. In the evening, in place of the ‘Tutors Concert’, we will have a singaround with short sets from each tutor and then over to the day’s participants to raise their voices.
We really hope you will be able to join us for something quite new, different and exciting. Keep an eye on social media and the website and we will drop you an e-mail when the details are finalised.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
